ADELAIDE, Australia: Babcock International announces a new major training services contract with BMW Group Australia, which expands the company’s training services for the premium automotive brand.
Under the six-year contract, which was awarded following a competitive process, Babcock and BMW will form a training partnership to deliver technical, management and sales training to 44 BMW dealerships across Australia. The contract will create eight new Babcock jobs at BMW Australia’s offices in Mulgrave, Victoria.
Babcock is a leader in automotive training services internationally, with long-standing partnerships with the likes of BMW UK, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda Motors UK, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Royal Mail Group.
“We are thrilled to leverage our global experiences in the automotive training services industry to create bespoke programs for our Australian clients,” said Babcock Australasia CEO David Ruff.
“This extension of services will create a solid foundation for future success in delivering defence operational and technical training in Australia. Not only do we now have a solid footprint in Victoria, but our credentials and experience globally give us a great springboard for more growth.
“As BMW transitions to new and exciting horizons in automotive technology and customer experience, we look forward to partnering with them to ensure they continually develop outstanding staff that deliver on their brand promise and vision for exceptional automotive experiences”.
The contract commenced 1 January 2018.
